Dear friends,

Due to the ongoing situation in the Middle East, if any tourists are currently stranded in India and facing difficulty with accommodation, I would like to extend my personal support.

If you need a safe and comfortable place to stay in Delhi or Mumbai, I can offer my flat free of cost for a couple of days. The flat has 3 rooms and in Delhi it is located close to Indira Gandhi International Airport (T1), making it convenient for travelers. Accommodation is also available in Mumbai.

If required, free home-cooked food will also be provided, so you do not have to worry during this difficult time.

This is purely a gesture of goodwill to help fellow travelers who are stuck due to the current Middle East conflict.

Meeting a legend like Shyam Benegal must have been an unforgettable experience. Shyam Benegal was a visionary filmmaker who played a key role in shaping India's parallel cinema movement. His films were often marked by their realism, nuanced storytelling, and deep exploration of social issues. Some of his most notable works include Ankur (1974), Nishant (1975), Manthan (1976), and Bhumika (1977), each of which brought attention to the struggles of marginalized communities and raised important questions about power, tradition, and identity.

Not just a filmmaker, Shyam Benegal was also an advocate for the transformation of the Indian film industry, pushing for more meaningful, authentic narratives that represented the diversity of Indian society. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan for his contribution to Indian cinema and remains an inspiration for filmmakers around the world.
