Do you know the story of Dagaduseth Ganapati Temple? 😍
This Mandir in Pune was built by a grieving sweetmaker, Dagdusheth, after losing his son to plague in the 1800s. Created as a personal act of devotion, the temple grew into a citywide symbol of faith. Inspired by it, freedom fighter Lokmanya Tilak launched the Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav to unite Indians during British rule. Today, the temple stands as a powerful blend of personal loss, public devotion, and national pride.
