The konkan region of Maharashtra is a very beautiful and a geographically

carved ranges of the Shyadris and on the other is the huge Indian Ocean. Geographically Speaking this area starts from Gujarat and ends
on the far coasts of kerala.Connecting almost states i.e. Gujarat,Maharashtra,Goa,Karnataka and Kerala, cove

Food: Mainly Fish Preparations in a typical Konkani Style
Dishes created using coconut like modaks and also the very specialty i.e. Madi(a kind
of a coconut beverage)
Forts: Many historic On land & Inland Forts can be explored through out the region as it
has a very historic evidence especially after 16th Century
Beaches: The main attraction for tourists has always been the long serene beaches of
Konkan over the years. The beaches show many diversities in themselves location to
location
Temples: There are many temples in this region which are more than 100 yrs old. Many
Famous Temples like Ganapati Temple Diveagar, Mahad Ganapati,Ganpatipule are situated
in this region. Apart from these few things Konkan Provides beautiful scenic locations of long beaches palm

and very co-operative. A old Marathi Song describes the people of this region as ‘ Kokanchi
Mansa Saadhi Bholi’ which means simple,sweet and humble.
