The “2012 GOOD DESIGN” award saw 5 BMW products getting silverware. The annual “GOOD DESIGN” award is considered and ranked as the most prestigious international accolade in the product design field. Founded in 1950 in Chicago by great architects Eero Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames, and Edgar Kaufmann Jr. The award is presented by the Chicago Athenaeum and the European Center of Architecture, Art design and Urban Studies. It has been in existence for more than 60years. The award criterion is based on functionality and aesthetics, and ecological responsibility also playing an important role. The award winning models bestowed were: BMW 6 Series Gran Coupé, BMW 3 Series Sedan, BMW M6 Coupé, BMW M5 and The BMW Travel and Comfort System. Read more at: http://bit.ly/TJPpJN
