We are all living in an urban-corporate jungle and yet there are few of us who are yearning to experience their wild side out in the real jungle. There is something alluring about the jungle that keeps nudging at us and calling us to get lost in its beauty. We have a passion to explore the un-explored, to hear the music unheard by the ordinary and to lock eyes with the majestic and elusive Bengal

tiger and start an everlasting love affair with nature itself. The jungle is calling – what are you waiting for?

A Rare Moment in the Wild – Bandhavgarh Diaries - Feb'25

Bandhavgarh is not just known for its breathtaking landscapes but also for its deep-rooted historical significance from the Ramayana. For photographers, it’s a paradise—offering pristine wilderness and unparalleled opportunities to capture wildlife in its most natural form.

During our second visit in 2025, we set out on a misty morning in search of big cats. As we navigated through the jungle, a sudden movement caught our attention—a pair of jackals, accompanied by their cub. Upon closer observation, we realized they were feasting on a fresh spotted deer kill.

Sensing an opportunity for a rare sighting, we decided to wait patiently, hoping for some unique action. And indeed, nature rewarded us.

While this scene might be unsettling for some, it serves as a powerful reminder of nature’s balance—where the food chain and the survival of the fittest dictate life in the wild. This is the true essence of the jungle—beautiful, ruthless, and mesmerizing all at once.

Reflecting on the conclusion of our Panna trip, these past days have been truly unforgettable. From the awe-inspiring ancient temples of Khajuraho to the thrilling jungle safaris at Panna Tiger Reserve, each moment was filled with wonder. It's remarkable to witness the resurgence of tigers in Panna, a testament to the continuous efforts of the forest department. The beauty of this forest rivals renowned destinations like Jim Corbett, Ranthambore, and Bandhavgarh. Encountering six tigers, two leopards, a sloth bear, and a myriad of other wildlife and birds was a highlight, and the night safari added an extra layer of exhilaration to our adventure.

Greater racket tailed Drongo - White bellied Drongo - Black Drongo (from left to right).

A lovely example of how mother nature defines it's own creation from the same family yet distinctly different. It was a wonderful experience to spot them during our wildlife tours.

"SPARROW"
The bird that my generation grew up with.... This was the most commonly found bird in surroundings ... But the impact of globalisation made them almost vanished.... but due to less intervention of humans.....we could see them again around us.... Thanks to the covid-19 nature is reclaiming its own space.....
One more birding from window during lockdown series.
