Kalapravasi Heritage Tour aims to recreate the bond that was inherent in ancient and medieval India between kala and rasika/ art experience. Art was then living, not something to do in spare time and thus monuments are mirrors to civilizations, the people. We have been treating our own histories as exotic, rather we need to relive the spaces. We trace our paths in history to reach where we stand today. This is a small attempt to take us back to whom we were and still hold roots in.

Leave Mumbai by Siddheshwar Express (train no.12115) to Solapur at 10.00 pm

Day 1 (20th December 2018)
From Solapur leave for Bijapur and reach Badami by evening

Day 2 (21st December 2018)
Badami Caves, Shivalya, Bhutanatha Temple

Day 3 (22nd December 2018)
Aihole Temple complex, Ravan ki Phadi, Pattadakkal Temple Complex
Leave for Hampi (apprx.3-5 hours)

Day 4 (23rd December 2018)
Hampi: Virupaksha Temple and Mathanga Hills

Day 5 (24th December 2018)
Vitthala Temple and temples across the River

Day 6 (25th December 2018)
Hazar Ram Temple and residential complex of Hampi

Day 7 (26th December)
Leave for Solapur apprx 7 hours; take the train Siddheshwar Express from Solapur back to Mumbai

These super cute ganas from Ave no.21 Ellora go unnoticed quite a bit, but are the innocent peppy expressions of the artists. Look for example the one in the top left scratching his buttocks, or the one next to it biting the tail of the Nandi, catapulting ones and ticklers!
