Enough has been said about the “unity in diversity” of Indian culture, but often we see divisive issues cropping up that tear apart the delicate fabric of our society. While diversity is the essence of our Indian culture, many of us are unaware of the differences that actually unite various regions of the country. Here are some of the major dividing yet uniting socio-economic and cultural differences of Indian states, as depicted in this colourful infographic.

After all the drama one right picture, what a piece of a niece this one is.

I am not emotional usually, and have never called home when I am out on adventures sometimes months in a row, but no phone call. “No NEWS is good News” as I usually say.

It was just once I remember, I had to call back to speak this one while on the way to Everest base camp. I borrowed a porters phone climbed to a small hillock to get some reception and made a call home.

Rock-cut Temples at Masrur, is an early 8th-century complex of rock-cut Hindu temples in the Kangra Valley of Himachal Pradesh, India. The temples face towards the Dhauladhar. A version of North Indian Nagara architecture style, dedicated to Shiva, Vishnu, And Devis. Unfortunately now temples are in the surviving form, the archaeological studies suggest that the artists and architects had a far more ambititious plan and the complex remains incomplete. Though quite damaged, most likely from earthquakes they stand tall to tel a tale of great art and architecture in the region.
