Kolukkumalai is a small village in Tamil Nadu sharing its border with Idukki district of Kerala. It is home to the highest tea plantations in the world with the tea grown here possessing a special flavour and freshness because of the high altitude. The Trek through this World's highest tea plantation requires special permissions. Munnaradventures365 having all these permissions as well as the required camp sites in this place.
The route will take you back somewhat 100 years and you will feel like travelling in 1900's. The way built by the then British Government for the transportation of Tea is such a great thing to explore for a human at least once in his life. The words are really not enough to describe what is waiting for you....

Lying at 1600 m above sea-level, Munnar is amongst the most sought out travel destinations in the world. It is a proper tourist hub with resorts and activities that have attracted visitors for decades. Its overall view, including the tea plantations, beautifully designed towns, rare flora and fauna, massive peaks and dams, make it the perfect destination for an extended vacation as well. The unique sight of the Neelakurinji flower that appears once in every 12 years (This year 2018) makes it hard to pass over this place at any cost.

Everyone must be knowing about (Strobilanthes kunthianus) NEELAKURINJI...! blooms once in 12 years.
Here is the great opportunity to see them while enjoying the goodness of nature. The great mountains of Munnar will be seen in blue covered with the rare flowers.
