Macro Photography Tour

Experience the wild side of Munnar at nightfall when the real party begins with Renjith Hadlee a naturalist and wildlife photographer. A man of these hills and an amphibian expert, he has guided many research activities in the region and is known for his keen eye at tracing nocturnal frogs and reptiles.
Windermere Estate is an enchanting place which would appeal to people who want to escape from the bustling cities and who have a love for the great outdoors and who are in search of a low-key, wilderness atmosphere. Our Cardamom estate has been a venue for several Amphibian biodiversity study projects over the past few years. The evergreen forests and perennial streams come alive at night with a rich collection of frogs and reptiles, a stark contrast to what you might see in the day.
Overview:
2 Evening herping walks in the estate 7pm to 10pm
2 Discussion Session; (1) Introduction to amphibian and reptile life in the region, and (2) sharing experiences on Macro Photography
For those who are early risers and enjoy birding, we could have an add on bird walk on one of the mornings.
Probable sightings;
Anaimalai flying frog, Sushil’s bush frog, Jayaram’s bush frog, Beautiful dancing frog, Green-eyed bush frog
What you bring along;
We recommend that you have rain covers – poncho or full covering rain jacket and pants, rain covers for backpack and camera. Waterproof shoes, rubber boots are ideal. A good torch / head torch.
Inclusions;
Stay for 2 nights, Lunch, dinner on the day of arrival. Following day all meals and Breakfast on the day of departure. All specified experiences and all taxes.
