Nagercoil (Nanjil Naadu) நாகர்கோயில் Nagercoil is a large city in the southernmost Indian state of Tamil Nadu and a municipality and administrative headquarters of Kanyakumari District.

மருந்துவாழ் மலை (Marunthuvazh Malai) அல்லது மருத்துவாமலை.

நாகர்கோவிலிலிருந்து கன்னியாகுமரி செல்லும் தேசிய நெடுஞ்சாலையில் பொற்றையடி கிராமத்திற்கு வடக்கே இந்த ஊர் அமைந்துள்ளது. இந்த ஊரிலுள்ள மலையில் பல மருத்துவ மூலிகைகள் கிடைக்கின்றன. இதனால்தான் இந்த மலைக்கு மருத்துவாமலை என்று பெயர் ஏற்பட்டது என்கிறார்கள். இலட்சுமணனைக் காப்பாற்ற அனுமன் சஞ்சீவி மலையைப் பெயர்த்து எடுத்துக் கொண்டு சென்ற போது தமிழ்நாட்டில் விழுந்த பல்வேறு துண்டுகளில் இம்மலையும் ஒன்று என்று இங்குள்ளவர்கள் குறிப்பிடுகின்றனர். இம்மலையில் சுமார் 1400 அடி உயரத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள பிள்ளைத்தடம் எனும் குகையில் ஸ்ரீ நாராயணகுரு சில ஆண்டுகள் தவமிருந்து மெய்யறிவு பெற்றார்.இது ஒரு கிலோமீட்டர் பரந்தும் 800 அடி உயர்ந்தும் உள்ளது. சுவாமித்தோப்பில் இருந்து இரண்டு கிலோமீட்டர் தொலைவிலும் நாகர்கோவிலிலிருந்து 11 கி.மீ தொலைவிலும் உள்ளது.

மேற்குத்தொடர்ச்சி மலையின் தென்கோடி முனையான இதனருகில் அய்யா நாராயணசாமி ஏற்படுத்திய வைகுண்டபதி அமைந்துள்ளது. இம்மலையில் அய்யா வைகுண்டர் தங்கியிருந்து தவம் செய்தார். இம்மலை குறித்தும் அவர் பாடியுள்ளார். எனவே அய்யாவழி சமயத்தில் இம்மலை புனிதமானதாய் மதிக்கப்படுகிறது.

அகிலத்திரட்டு அம்மானையில் குறிப்பிடப்படும் பருவத உச்சி இதுதான் எனக் கருதப் படுகிறது.
