While you will be tempted to jus t put your feet up and relax on the Ragini terrace, here’s what you can do in the region. Take Dada’s help to plan some hikes around the area or any sort of cab bookings –
There are many small hikes and some treks around Naggar. Sit with Manoj Ji and Dada to customise your own treks. Some of Dada’s favourite are –
Chandrakhani – Camp under the starry nights at Chiklani, Nagruni and then finally in Malana after crossing the Chandrakhani Pass at 3660 meters. Malana village is quiet unique and has kept its own social system and extraordinary lifestyle.
Jagatsukh to the base of Deo Tibba – Traverse through high glaciated lakes, the unassuming village of Khanul, a dozen bubbling streams and beautiful mountain- scapes.
Bijli Mahadev – A 7 day trek covering some of the most beautiful villages of Himachal, you take beautiful natural trails of forests covering Jana, Matikochar, Bijli Mahadev ( a Lord Shiva temple), Jari, Malana, Chandrakhani Pass, Malana and Nawa Tapru. This is a great one for those who enjoy off-beat trails taking in the beauty of the hills at their own pace.

Krishna temple on a hill – The best view of Naggar and the adjoining villages from this quaint temple atop a hill. Go for a short hike to visit the over 1000 years old temple and if the priest’s wife is feeling benevolent, you can have a nice cup of tea.
The Roerich Museum is a short walk from Ragini Guest House. Remnants from the famous painter’s life in Naggar are displayed in his old house and a small museum. One of the most fantastic paintings of Himachal and Leh can be seen. Saunter through the terraced garden to his well maintained grave in a peaceful hilly ambience.
