World Environment Day Adaptation Inspired by Nature
I sit within the earth and weave,
The living stories that our days achieve.
I hear a melody in every leaf,
A call to action, anchoring belief.
Wrapped in a blanket of the open air,
I find the cure for the climate despair.
The silent bricks and concrete offer naught,
To heal the crises our haste hath brought.
They do not answer when the planet cries,
But in the wilderness, the truth defies.
We find our future in a touch of green,
A shield for the climate, powerful and clean.
The boundless sky spreads out its soaring wings,
While in my heart, a global promise rings.
I paint this vision on the human soul:
To shield the wild and make our ecosystems whole.
Sheltered by branches, purposefully free—
To save the future, seeks the poet in me.
