Ding D**g Travel Diaries - 1
Anini, Arunachal Pradesh 🌿
A journey through remote mountains, deep valleys, and the quiet roads of Anini — one of Arunachal Pradesh’s most untouched destinations.
6 days. 2 travellers. Endless memories.
From crossing the mighty Brahmaputra at Bogibeel Bridge, to starry nights at Chigu Camps, cold river mornings, and trekking through the vast Emuli Grasslands in Mathun Valley— this trip reminded us why Arunachal Pradesh is a dream for slow travel lovers.
The roads weren’t always easy. There were delays, road blocks near Hunli, a late-night arrival at Chigu, a car breakdown on the way to Mathun Valley, and freezing cold baths when the geyser stopped working.
But that’s the thing about the mountains — they test you a little so you can love them a lot. 💚
If you’ve ever heard someone say "Arunachal changes you" — they were right.
Anini isn’t a place you check off a list. It’s a place that stays with you.
The sound of the river at Dree Afra Campsite…
The quiet roads beyond Mayodia Pass…
The way time slows down in the grasslands…
You leave, but it doesn’t leave you.
To Prarthana & Pradnya — thank you for trusting us, laughing through the chaos, and turning challenges into stories we’ll tell for years. 🌿✨
We’re grateful to have walked this road with you.
🌄 If you’re dreaming of Anini, Roing, Mayodia Pass, Mathun Valley or Chigu Camps, save this post — your journey may begin sooner than you think.
