Nature is in its full force across the district! Igatpuri has just recorded a massive 200 mm of rain in a single 15-hour window, leading to severe waterlogging and flash-floods in low-lying areas. The intense downpour has directly impacted major transit lines connecting Nashik to Mumbai.

If you are planning to travel via the central railways or the highway today, please note these critical, verified updates:

Railways Hit Hard: As a crucial safety measure, the railway administration has cancelled 14 trains and diverted 93 train routes. Re-check your rail bookings immediately.

Kasara Ghat Landslide: A massive landslide occurred at the Old Kasara Ghat on the Mumbai-Nashik Highway. Mud and debris have slowed down transit, forcing authorities to operate single-lane traffic while emergency teams clear the roads.

Heavy Rainfall Across District: Trimbakeshwar recorded 125 mm, Surgana hit 149 mm, and Nashik City clocked 71.2 mm of continuous rainfall.
