🌹 भाई दूज - 03 नवंबर 2024 🌹

🔹कार्तिक शुक्ल द्वितीया तिथि को भाई दूज का पर्व मनाया जाता है। यह पर्व भाई-बहेन के पवित्र प्रेम का प्रतीक है। मान्यता है कि इस दिन बहेन के घर भोजन करने से भाई की उम्र बढ़ती है। इस पर्व का महत्व इस प्रकार है-

धर्म ग्रंथों के अनुसार, कार्तिक शुक्ल द्वितीया के दिन ही यमुना ने अपने भाई यम को अपने घर बुलाकर सत्कार करके भोजन कराया था। इसीलिए इस त्योहार को यम द्वितीया के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। तब यमराज ने प्रसन्न होकर उसे यह वर दिया था कि जो व्यक्ति इस दिन यमुना में स्नान करके यम का पूजन करेगा, मृत्यु के पश्चात उसे यमलोक में नहीं जाना पड़ेगा। सूर्य की पुत्री यमुना समस्त कष्टों का निवारण करने वाली देवी स्वरूपा है।

उनके भाई मृत्यु के देवता यमराज हैं। यम द्वितीया के दिन यमुना नदी में स्नान करने और यमुना और यमराज की पूजा करने का बड़ा माहात्म्य माना जाता है। इस दिन बहेन अपने भाई को तिलक कर उसकी लंबी उम्र के लिए हाथ जोड़कर यमराज से प्रार्थना करती है। स्कंद पुराण में लिखा है कि इस दिन यमराज को प्रसन्न करने से पूजन करने वालों को मनोवांछित फल मिलता है। धन-धान्य, यश एवं दीर्घायु की प्राप्ति होती है।

🔹भाई की उम्र बढ़ानी है तो करें यमराज से प्रार्थना

सबसे पहले बहेन-भाई दोनों मिलकर यम, चित्रगुप्त और यम के दूतों की पूजा करें तथा सबको अर्घ्य दें। बहेन भाई की आयु-वृद्धि के लिए यम की प्रतिमा का पूजन करें। प्रार्थना करें कि मार्कण्डेय, हनुमान, बलि, परशुराम, व्यास, विभीषण, कृपाचार्य तथा अश्वत्थामा इन आठ चिरंजीवियों की तरह मेरे भाई को भी चिरंजीवी कर दें।

इसके बाद बहेन भाई को भोजन कराती हैं। भोजन के बाद भाई को तिलक लगाती है। इसके बाद भाई यथाशक्ति बहन को भेंट देता है। जिसमें स्वर्ण,आभूषण, वस्त्र आदि प्रमुखता से दिए जाते हैं। लोगों में ऐसा विश्वास भी प्रचलित है कि इस दिन बहेन अपने हाथ से भाई को भोजन कराए तो उसकी उम्र बढ़ती है और उसके जीवन के कष्ट दूर होते हैं।
