Hollywood Travelling Exhibitions Service (HTES) specialises in creating three dimensional, full-scale exhibition "packages" containing objects, photographic imagery, and interpretive text. Many exhibitions also include , cases, freestanding display units, and computer and equipment.

The exhibition "package" also provides curatorial and registrarial information; shipping, handling, and installation instructions; educational and programming resources; publications; and insurance.

Every HTES exhibition includes:

• Complete curatorial references, including object checklist and script

• Registrarial information for condition reporting; shipping, handling, and installation instructions; and crate lists and weights

• Wall-to-wall insurance coverage under the HTES's policy (at an added cost / optional)

• Public relations support in the form of press releases, photographs/digital images, and advice on promoting the show and hosting special events

• Guidelines for local fundraising and working with HTES's national sponsors (as applicable)

• Educational enrichment materials such as curriculum guides, docent training information, films, video and audio cassette programs, specimens, educational websites, and suggestions for lecture series

• A variety of publications that may include catalogues, flyers, posters, and brochures

• Internet links to the HTES websites

• Special preparatory workshops (as applicable) that bring together representatives of host museums, HTES staff members, curators, and educators to share ideas, discuss content, and devise strategies for presenting and publicizing HTES exhibitions at the community level

• The opportunity to participate in the Voices of Discovery program offered by Hollywood Television

When did Hollywood Travelling Exhibition Service (HTES) began travelling exhibitions?

HTES—the Hollywood Traveling Exhibition Service—began developing and circulating exhibitions in 2016 with a motto "to collect, to preserve, to exhibit, to educate ". Since then, it has put more than 12 exhibitions on the road, making it the country's largest traveling exhibition service. Follow the HTES story here.

How many exhibitions does HTES travel a year?

HTES has more than 5 exhibitions on tour at any given time, with up to 2 more in various stages of planning and production. In this year 2017, HTES plans to travels its exhibitions to over 60 communities across the nation in almost every state. View current and past exhibitions.

Where do HTES exhibitions go?

HTES takes exhibitions not only to museums, but also to libraries, science centers, historical societies, community centers, botanical gardens, schools, and shopping malls.

Does HTES travel Hollywood collections only?

Most HTES exhibitions are based on Hollywood Museums' collections. Our mission is to connect the Rainbow Land Parks' attractions and Hollywood collections with the people of Indian region. Among the hundreds of objects on tour are animatronics dinosaurs from the Dinosaurs Parks, exquisite silicone and wax sculptures from the Hollywood Wax Museums, and classic excavations, sculptures, and paintings from the architectural and archaeological sites of ancient India. HTES, however, has a strong history of national and international collaborations, and continues to pursue partnerships that will bring a wide variety of objects to the Indian public.

How does HTES select exhibitions for its program?

HTES draws upon the expertise of its staff, Hollywood curators and scholars, as well as experts at India's finest museums and research centers. HTES is looking for a few exhibitions to add to our program, and welcomes outside proposals that offer intriguing approaches to popular topics. HTES reviews exhibition proposals monthly to assess a number of factors such as timeliness, popular appeal, technical feasibility, and cost.

How is HTES exhibitions funded?

HTES exhibitions are supported through a combination of Madan and Uday Patil family Balodaya Trust-fund appropriations and monetary and in-kind contributions from foundations, corporations, and individuals. A small percentage of the cost of each exhibition is covered by the participation fee that each host museum pays. HTES itself is not a funding organization, nor does it customarily pay curatorial or artist's fees.

Why does HTES need funding? . . . I thought the governments supported it.

The Hollywood Traveling Exhibition Service doesn't receive any Central or State government appropriation, funds, or grants that should normally covers a part of its operating costs. In order to create new and innovative exhibitions, care for our extensive collections, and conduct groundbreaking research, HTES seeks the support of corporations, individuals and foundations.
