Ostriches are large flightless birds that have long legs and a long neck that protrudes from a round body. Males have a bold black-and-white colouring that they use to attract females. Females, on the other hand, are light brown. Wild ostriches live in the dry, hot savannas and woodlands of Africa. They once roamed all over Asia, Africa and the Arabian Peninsula, but because they have been hunted so extensively, wild ostriches' range has been reduced to sub-Saharan Africa. The Migration in Masai Mara is an epitome of life & the hardships we face just to survive.
Every year between July & September, thousands of Wildebeests joined by Zebras cross over he Mara river from the Serengeti in Tanzania to Masai Mara in Kenya in search of Greener pastures. En route they face a lot of challenges from hungry Crocodiles in the river besides the big cats waiting for them across the river as they arrive. But this doesn't stop or dampen the spirits of these animals crossing over for fresh food year after year
