IDEAL time for AYURVEDA 🌦

For centuries in India, Summer was considered the best times for Panchakarma.
As the rainy season began, life would slow down. Nature would fill with moisture, resting & restoring itself.
People, too, would follow this rhythm—putting things on pause to focus on their health and well-being

Warm, humid climate helps the body relax, supports the natural processes of cleansing & creates ideal conditions for letting go of what has accumulated. During this time, it feels natural not to rush or spend energy outward.
It is time to turn inward

Of course, today can be done year-round. And yet Summer, the rainy season, when everything around turns green & fills with moisture & life, still remains a special time for those who are more deeply acquainted with Ayurveda

is especially beautiful during this season. Everything turns vibrant green, the air becomes soft & the rains come and go 🌦
There is something unique in that quiet atmosphere, in the softness of the humid air & in the slower pace that comes with fewer tourists. There is more space to be with yourself and truly slow down

That is why Summer at Indimasi, for many, becomes truly an ideal time for restoration 🌱

Bittersweet goodbye with Guruji… and so many from Indimasi 🤍

Hard to believe how much happened in such a short time… it felt like a little lifetime
It’s been almost a month and I’m still processing everything

🐚 Ayurveda, full Panchakarma… and it’s not an easy process. It’s a real transformation
Letting go of the old, resetting — it takes energy, a lot of it

🧘‍♀️ Immersed into yoga… a lot of meditation, conversations, reflections…
met emotions as they came up… cried, laughed…

☕️ Tea time together everyday…
thank you Leena for holding space for everyone 🤍
those simple, soulful conversations… I already miss them being back home

🛕 A small pilgrimage to the South…
visited my favorite temple, explored nearby ones…
and found ourselves right in the middle of festival season in Hindu temples

Coming home from India is always a strange contrast. You return to the same world, but you see it through a completely different lens

AYURVEDA WELLNESS RETREAT

For some, it’s the first time in South India 🇮🇳
For others, it’s the first time experiencing healing through Ayurveda and living everyday yoga
But for everyone, it’s the first time visiting Indimasi — and I always find that first arrival special to witness 🪷

Each guest is welcomed with a traditional sandalwood tilak placed on the third eye.
In Ayurveda, sandalwood is cooling and grounding, and applying it to the Ajna chakra helps calm the mind and ease the heat of travel. It’s a simple gesture that marks the transition from journey into presence

I’m grateful to be accompanying the group as they begin to slow down and ease into the rhythm here.

Everyone arrives with something different — and this place has a quiet way of meeting you where you are, touching the heart and shifting something deep inside, so you never return quite the same

Grateful to be facilitating this retreat with Leaping Lotus Wellness and Leelah Lakshmi, and thankful for the trust placed in this experience 🤍

I always arrive a couple of days before the group...

A quiet time preparing, checking the rooms, confirming the schedule, making sure everything is ready.
Overtime, I’ve noticed — the process of the retreat begins long before anyone lands in India. It starts when a person decides they don’t have to manage every detail themselves.

We’re used to carrying responsibility — planning, coordinating, thinking ahead, holding everything together. When that stops, even a little, the body reacts almost immediately. The shoulders drop, the breath changes, the mind becomes quieter.

Healing doesn’t begin at the destination. It begins the moment we allow ourselves to be taken care of 🤍

By the time everyone arrives, part of the work has already started — not through treatments yet, but through trust 🌱

🌿 KERALA TEA PLANTATION is one of the most beautiful places we visit while in Indimasi ☕️

Did you know that all tea — black, green, white, or oolong — comes from the same plant, Camellia sinensis? What makes them different is how the leaves are processed 🌿

🌱 BLACK TEA is fully oxidized, giving it a bold flavor and heart-supportive theaflavins. Its L-theanine also supports focus and alertness

🌱 GREEN TEA is rich in catechins — powerful antioxidants that protect our cells and support metabolism, offering calm yet clear energy

🌱 OOLONG TEA is partially oxidized, blending the qualities of black and green tea and traditionally supporting digestion and healthy weight

🌱 WHITE TEA is the least processed, preserving high levels of polyphenols for skin health and longevity — gentle, delicate, and refined

Tea quality is deeply shaped by place. The high-altitude plantations of Ponmudi, Kerala, grow slowly in cool, misty air. This “slow growth” concentrates both flavor and nutrients, making the tea richer and more complex

Oxidation doesn’t just change color and taste — it changes chemistry. Black tea develops more theaflavins (great for gut health), while green tea retains more chlorophyll and vitamin C due to minimal processing
And in Ponmudi that we visit, black tea is the main harvest.

So often we drink tea without thinking of its journey ⛰️
Next time you lift your cup, pause, breathe, and feel into the story behind those leaves 🍵

If you only have one true vacation this year, a mistake can be expensive

We often treat a vacation as a ‘painkiller.’ We wait until we are on the edge of burnout, then fly to a beautiful destination or let the “all-inclusive” service numb our stress for a few days. Many places today know how to take care of the body—providing comfortable rooms, beautiful nature, treatments, and healthy food. You arrive tired; you leave rested.

And it works... for a while.

But the reality is often different. Research on burnout shows that the “rest effect” of a standard vacation often lasts only 2–3 weeks. Why? Because we return to the same overloaded system with the same tired habits. We haven’t addressed the underlying imbalance: the same thoughts, the same inner tension, and the same way of relating to life.

We simply mask the symptoms and settle back into our familiar discomfort.

True restoration doesn’t come from simply stopping activity. If nothing inside the system shifts, the rest cannot last. The question isn't how long you rest—after all, some people take time off often yet still feel deeply depleted. Others, given the right conditions, experience a renewal that stays with them long after they return home.

The lasting effect comes not from a change of scenery, no matter how luxurious, but from a change of context. ✨

✨️ Have you ever felt the energy of a place?

Kerala state is home to Indimasi Healing Village and it’s unlike any other state in India. There’s a softness to it—people are welcoming, life moves at a gentler pace and the air carries a sense of something ancient yet alive. Unlike the intensity of the North, Kerala invites you to slow down, breathe and sink into its deep spiritual rhythm

✨️ Did you know that the purest Ayurveda comes from Kerala?

Ayurveda is not just practiced here—it’s preserved in its most authentic form. Kerala is home to the world’s best Ayurveda schools and Panchakarma specialists. Here Ayurvedic knowledge has been passed down for generations. In Kerala, unlike any other place, you can receive care that draws from this deep, ancient tradition and can experience Ayurveda’s healing potential

✨️ Ever stood in a temple that feels alive?

Temples here are not just places of worship—they pulse with energy. Here, you have the chance to visit some of the most powerful spiritual sites. At Sabarimala, millions of pilgrims walk barefoot through forests in devotion to Lord Ayyappa, in hope of inner transformation. Padmanabhaswamy Temple, said to be the richest in the world, holds not just material treasures but a sense of mystery and divine presence

✨️ Can a place itself be healing?

Nature in Kerala has a unique way of healing. The misty Western Ghats, multi-tiered tea plantations and winding backwaters all create a landscape that soothes the mind and harmonizes the senses. While at Indimasi, you can take a day trip to the serene backwaters or explore lush tea plantation high up in the mountains with a magnificent 365 view of Kerala. There are so many places in Kerala to indulge your soul

✨️ Have you heard of a mirror that shows your Soul?

The Aranmula Kannadi—made using a secret metal alloy technique, it gives a perfect reflection—without distortion. Traditionally used in temple rituals, it symbolizes clarity and self-awareness, reminding us to see beyond illusions

Kerala is more than a destination—it’s an experience

While your journey to Imdimasi will be unforgetable, there is so much more to discover in Kerala! 💫
