Trekking.... Chopta to Tungnath...ChandraShila...

How We Reached:
1. Interstate Bus to Rishikesh from Delhi @ 350rs. (5 hrs travel)
2. Local bus From Rishikesh bus stand to Rudraprayag via Ukhimath stand @ 360rs(5am from Rishikesh or 7am from Haridwar - 7 hrs travel appx).
3. Taxi from Rudraprayg to Chopta @ 3000rs (we were three). You also have an option to hire taxi on per person basis from Ukhimath as a part of routine service.
4. We stayed at guesthouse at Chopta( not advisable). Suggestion - Try to stay at Ukhimath and start trek early to Chopta.
5. Start trek at 4am if you want to enjoy unforgettable moment of sunrise. We started at 9am. Carry water bottles, biscuits and chocolates while you trek as you don't get anything up. Trekking shoes, trekking pole, heavy jackets are must.
Trek from Chopta to Tungnath (5 to 6 kms - 2.5 hrs) and then from Tungnath to Chandrashila (appx 2 kms - 1.5 hrs). Be careful trek is very steep and not a properly done trek... If you are fit healthwise, you trek..Enjoy view.. Spend some time..
6. While moving back we hired a taxi from Chopta to Ukhimath @ 1000 rs.
7. From Ukhimath, we took a bus to Haridwar.. 5:30 am and 6:30am buses available to Haridwar. Or till 9 am its only up to Rudraprayagafter then you have to hire a taxi. Suggest you to board 5:30am bus to Haridwar @ 350 rs.
8. From Haridwar to Delhi Inter state bus @ 305 rs.
