Tirumala Tirupati Balaji, the "Vaikuntha of Kali Yuga," is one of the most sacred and visited pilgrimage sites in the world. Dedicated to Lord Venkateswara (an incarnation of Vishnu), it sits atop the seven hills of Tirumala in Andhra Pradesh.

Essential Rules & Dress Code
Tirumala maintains a strict traditional dress code for entry into the inner sanctum:
Men: Dhoti (Vasti) with a shirt or a shirt and pajama. (Note: In some special sevas, only a Dhoti/Lungi is allowed).
Women: Saree or a Chudidar with a Dupatta (Odhini).
Prohibited Items: Mobile phones, cameras, and any electronic gadgets are strictly banned inside the temple complex.

How to Reach
By Foot: Many take the pedestrian paths—Alipiri Mettu (approx. 3,550 steps) or Srivari Mettu (approx. 2,388 steps).
By Road: Frequent buses and private taxis run from Tirupati city to Tirumala (approx. 45-60 minute drive).
By Rail/Air: Tirupati (TPTY) is well-connected by rail, and the Tirupati Airport (TIR) has regular flights from major Indian cities

Pro-Tip for Travelers:
If you are traveling with elderly citizens or infants, look for the Senior Citizen/Infant Darshan categories, which have separate, shorter queue lines and specific time slots
