Sharing this a little late but some days stay with you long after they end.

We spent a beautiful day at the Ekamra Sports Literature Festival, where sport turned into stories of grit, heart and hope.

Deepa Malik, was a true force of inspiration, her journey and her book "Bring It On" left a deep impact.

Javier Sotomayor, the only man to clear the 8-foot mark, spoke with a calm strength that lingered.

Jarrod Kimber, took us through his world of cricket storytelling, and then came the surprise that lit up the event, his next book will be on Virat Kohli’s meteoric rise..

Missed the sessions by M. Dwedar from Palestine, Franco Nugnes, author of Senna: Speed, Spirit, and the Myth That Endures.

Could not catch Mr. Arup Ghosh either, hopefully next time.

And a special mention to the festival director, Mr. Sundeep Misra, whose book "The Murder of an Olympian" holds a story that stays with you long after you hear it.

And the cherry on the cake: finally meeting Ms. Shireen Sethi, the prime-time icon and founder of Ekamra,someone I had been longing to meet for the longest time.
