After a hiatus from social media, and having fought the virus for now, we are back!

Winters are setting in and one of the trips we would typically be planning is our winter quest to spiti! Not this year, the valley, rightly so, after a surge in covid cases has decided to stay shut for tourism till March 31, 2021. We have decided to stay patient s well keeping in mind the safety of our amazing travellers as well as our team.

As we wake up to the sound of the river and the chirping birds at our beautiful campsite in Sangla, our convoy prepares to make its way to Tabo.

Two important bridges act as landmarks - Akpa, the long wooden bridge, always exciting, and Khab, the confluence of River Spiti and Satluj.

It's post Khab where you really feel you enter Spiti, though you dont officially do so till you reach Sumdo. But the change as you leave behind the treeline, as you start driving through mountains!

We are driving on what is called the "Worlds Most Trecherous Road", owing to the landslide prone sections! The drive as such may not feel it, but shooting stones means you always have to be watchful on the section!

- the man with an innate amount of know-how, of literally everything.

He is the one who makes sure our convoy's are safe in the most difficult situations!

Also the most fun person in the team, always upto a prank! His vehicle is usually a laughter riot - picking on everything and everyone around - always in a fun, innocent manner!
