24 Years. 14 Journeys. 64,000 Kilometers. 🇮🇳🇩🇪

We are honored to welcome back Captain Hans, a retired officer of the German Air Force and our most loyal rider since 2001.

Hans approaches riding with military precision. Over the last two decades, he has rented our motorcycles for 14 separate expeditions, covering a staggering 64,000 km across the length and breadth of India.
This time, he is piloting a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.

His advice for anyone riding in India is pure gold:
"Speed is not the issue. Patience is the issue. If you lose your temper, India is not your place."
Thank you, Captain, for your trust and friendship over the years.

We salute you. 🫡

From Kuala Lumpur to Karol Bagh. 🌏

It was a pleasure to host our friends Mr. Baljinder Singh and Mr. Syed today.

These are serious riders with some serious machinery back home in Malaysia—owning everything from BMW GS 1200s and Moto Guzzis to Triumphs and Kawasakis.

Mr. Syed even shares the passion with his wife, who rides a Triumph Bonneville 900 herself.

We look forward to hosting them (and the whole family!) for a Ladakh expedition soon.

Mr. Nathan brought us his Royal Enfield 500cc Desert Storm after a bad experience with a previous modification. As he put it, the previous work was "only a paint job" and left the bike unreliable for real touring.

He found us on Instagram and trusted Lalli Singh’s touring experience to set it right.

The Mission:

Strip away the bad modifications.

Restore the original "Desert Storm" paint and look.

Fix the mechanicals for long-distance reliability.

Sometimes, the best upgrade is bringing a legend back to its original glory.

30 Days. 3,000 Kilometers. The Verdict.
We were happy to welcome back Jos (who first rode with us in 2018) and his brother Fons for a month-long tour of Rajasthan.
They chose our 2015 and 2017 model UCE 500cc motorcycles for this trip. After covering 3,000 kilometers of diverse terrain, the feedback was clear: these machines performed flawlessly.
As Jos put it: "From beginning to end... not a drop of oil."
We also ensured their schedule stayed on track by arranging a special delivery of the bikes to Pushkar when their arrival was delayed.
Reliable machines and flexible support are the foundation of a great tour. Thank you, Jos & Fons, for trusting us with your journey.

First test ride for the Kalpa Lightning 535 project.
We were pleasantly surprised by the raw power this engine still delivers. It’s living up to its name—even a modern Scram 411 struggled to keep up with it on the road today.

That said, there is still work to be done. We have identified that the chassis needs alignment, and we will be performing a thorough check of the engine internals to ensure long-term reliability.

Overall, the bike is in much better condition than expected given its mileage.

More updates to come as we move forward.

Connections that last a lifetime.

We first met Madeleine from Germany back in 1999. She rode across Rajasthan with us on an old Cast Iron 500cc—a ride many would hesitate to do even today.

That trip sparked a love for India that has brought her back for the next 15 years, exploring every corner of the country on two wheels.

From 1999 to 2017, and now again in 2025. It is always a joy to share a cup of coffee and relive the good times with old friends.

Wishing Madeleine a beautiful journey through Delhi, Agra, Varanasi, and Kolkata. See you next time!

Having Lunch with good Friends

Today we met our dear friend Harald and his wonderful family.

They are departing India after staying in Kolkata for one and a half years.

Our connection goes back a long way—specifically to 1998, when Harald rode from Delhi to Norway with us. It was a pleasure to catch up today and hear about their experiences living here, from writing a new book to the simple joy of Delhi street food.

As Harald put it: "India is the best place to learn how to be a human being."

We wish you all safe travels back home.
