We travel in groups of not more than 12-14 women, in an attempt to make our shared travel experience an intimate one
In addition we try and ensure that there is room for flexibility in our itineraries, so you feel like you are on a vacation and not just a guided tour! You’ve probably seen the fishermen. But Inle Lake is about much more than that. Yes, there are the iconic fishermen, balancing on their boats and rowing with one leg.

But spend a little longer here and you’ll discover an entire way of life shaped by the lake.

People grow vegetables on floating gardens. Homes sit above the water. Boats double up as taxis, transport and working vessels. Markets move between lakeside communities. Traditional crafts are still practised in small workshops.

It’s fascinating because none of this exists simply for visitors.

This is everyday life.

And that’s the side of Inle Lake we want you to experience on our Myanmar journey beyond the postcard.

One of the things you’ll notice while walking through Fort Kochi? The walls.

Old walls covered in colourful artwork, murals tucked into corners, and buildings that have become part of the neighbourhood’s visual character.

It’s one of the things we love about walking around Fort Kochi; you never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner.

There’s a lot to take in when you walk through Fort Kochi.

The old colonial streets, heritage homes, historic landmarks, cafés, galleries and those famous Chinese fishing nets all come together to make this one of the most interesting parts of Kochi.

On our Kochi & Kannur journey this December, we’ll explore Fort Kochi on a guided walking tour, taking our time to see the neighbourhood beyond just its famous sights.

And as the sun goes down, we’ll experience Kalaripayattu, Kerala’s traditional martial art, a completely different introduction to the culture of the region.

There’s a particular kind of Japan we wanted to create for 2027. Cherry blossoms, yes. But also the little things in between.

• A slow walk along the Philosopher’s Path.
• A kimono tea ceremony where you actually learn the ritual.
• An evening wandering through Gion.
• A Kintsugi workshop.
• Feeding deer in Nara.
• Taking the Shinkansen to Kyoto.
• Finding a good spot for hanami.

And then, of course, the big Japan moments — Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Arashiyama, Kinkaku-ji, TeamLab and Osaka Castle.

We’ve kept the group deliberately small just 7 ladies + our trip lead because cherry blossom season is busy enough without travelling around in a large group.

One of our favourite things about Hampi is that you don’t really need to do much to enjoy it.

You can sit in a coracle.

That’s it.

You float along the Tungabhadra while Hampi’s giant boulders, temples and ruins surround you.

There’s something wonderfully old-fashioned about the whole thing. No engines roaring, no elaborate setup. Just a round little boat on a river that has been flowing past this landscape for a very, very long time.

We’ll be doing this in December.

And yes, we’re looking forward to this bit as much as the sightseeing.

Because… no.

They are not a fascinating attraction waiting for tourists to discover them.

They’re Kayan women.
The brass coils are part of a cultural tradition that has been passed down through generations.

And when we visit, we want to do something very simple:

Meet them.

Talk to them.
Learn about the tradition.
And remember that there’s a whole life beyond the thing that first caught our eye.

Because travel gets a lot more interesting when you stop looking at people like they’re part of the itinerary.

What they couldn’t have packed for were the moments that became the highlight of the journey.

The silence of a frozen fjord.
The feeling of watching Norway drift past the train window.

When travellers think of Madhya Pradesh, they usually think of Khajuraho. Rarely Mandu.
Even more rarely Maheshwar.

Which is exactly why we love taking women there.

These aren’t places that shout for your attention. They quietly reward anyone willing to spend a few days exploring them.

Monsoon-washed forts.

The rhythm of the Narmada.

Myanmar is one of those destinations that fascinates travellers… and understandably raises questions too.

Over the years, we’ve had countless conversations with women who wanted to go but weren’t sure if they should.

Whenever we announce Myanmar, the first question we receive is, “But is it safe?”

It’s a fair question, and one we completely understand.

Rather than answering it ourselves, we’d much rather let you hear from someone who’s actually travelled with us.

The reality is that our Myanmar journeys are planned very differently. We travel only to regions we’ve carefully assessed, work with trusted local partners we’ve known for years, stay updated on the situation on the ground, and if something doesn’t feel right, we simply don’t operate the trip.

This isn’t about convincing anyone. It’s about giving you honest information so you can decide if this journey feels right for you.
