Tadoba Jungle as per the record has one of the best sightings of tigers in India.

What are the animals expected to be found in Tadoba?

Tadoba Tiger Reserve is home to other mammals including Indian Leopards, Sloth bears, Gaur, Nilgai, Dhole, Striped Hyena, Small Indian civet, Jungle cats, Sambar, Barking deer, Chital, Honeybadger. Tadoba lake sustains the marsh crocodiles, which were once common all over Maharashtra. Reptiles here include the endangered Indian python & the common Indian monitor. Terrapins, Indian star tortoise, Indian cobra & Russel's Viper also live in Tadoba.

What about Jungle Safari?

There are two zones in Tadoba. One is Buffer and the other is the Core zone. You can go for a safari either by Cantor or Jeep.Cantor is the cheaper option than Jeep.

What about accommodation?

There are many luxurious and budget accommodations you would find in Tadoba. However, to get the perfect forest thrill, Camps are the best accommodation to stay.

The 6 best entry gates of the Tadoba core zone are:-

Moharli Gate , Khutwanda Gate, Kolara Gate, Navegaon Gate, Pangdi and Zari Gate.

The best time to spot tigers is in peak summer around May.
