Goa has always been the dream destination for all and if you are there for a wild night is always a ‘yes’. So this time the casinos will give you chance to roll that dice and win your luck. Some of the most amazing casinos in India are located in Goa.

Gambling clubs in Goa can be found on the boats moored in the Mandovi River, and coastal in some hotels. A large portion of the activity, with live tables, happens on the gliding gambling clubs - which are diversion goals inside themselves. By law, coastal clubhouse can just have electronic diversion.

One can experiment with playing games like Black Jack, Rummy, Stud Poker, Baccarat and Flash Roulette. A fairly recent development, the casino culture has been principally introduced because of the great inflow of foreign visitors in Goa who enjoy spending substantial time in casinos and nightclubs.

Each of the casinos has their own speciality. Goa is a perfect place if you enjoy a pulsating nightlife with a chilled beverage and a pack of cards.

One of Goa's finest architectural marvels is the Mae De Deus Church in Saligao. It has the typical pointed arch, with buttresses supporting its exteriors, belfry, and spikes all which have come together to create a wonderful piece of Gothic architecture. Its illuminated view in the evenings is at its best. Originally the church was situated at Daujim, a tiny suburb of Old Goa in the 16th century. The church dedicated to the Mother of God was built at Bardez in the 19th century. The Saligao Church was inaugurated on November 26, 1873 and its foundation stone was laid on February 7,1867.

This bright white building and Neo-Gothic architecture are so impulsive that just mesmerizes its beholders. One will surely get awestruck with the impact of peaceful beauty, settlement within the greenery and the aura it presents right from the first look to the same.

Right from the exteriors to interiors, the church is certainly one of the best places to visit in North Goa. Interestingly, it houses the miraculous statue of Mae de Deus which brought the church back to life post its ruin state. With imposing interiors and carved ornamentation on ceiling and walls, the church magnetizes not just the religion followers but also those who love to praise the reality on the ground.

'Location: 'Chogm Rd, Saligao

'Timings: 'Gate to God’s own home opens up every day from 9.00 AM to 12.30 PM and from 3.00 PM to 5.00 PM.

Dona Paula :
The place is named after Da. Paula Amaral Antonia de Souto-Maior, a historical figure in Portuguese India. She was related to the Portuguese Viceroy of Jaffnapatnam, in Sri Lanka. She and her family arrived in Goa in 1744 and she married a Fidalgo from Spain in 1756. Her father was D. Antonio Caetano de Menezes Souto-Maior. They were an extremely affluent family, and the entire property from the present day Cabo Raj Nivas all the way to Caranzalem belonged to the Souto Maior's. She died on 21 December 1782 .

Dona Paula was a woman of charity and is known to have helped the villagers and worked a lot for their betterment, so after her death, the villagers decided to rename the village as Dona Paula. Initially the village was called Oddavell.

The Dona Paula Beach is also a major tourist attraction. According to a local myth, Dona Paula entombed in the Cabo Chapel, the residence of the Governor of Goa and is supposed to be seen emerging from the moonlit waves wearing only a pearl necklace. Several tourists as well as locals guided by this myth visit the beach for a glimpse of Dona Paula. The Cabo Raj Bhavan is situated at a scenic spot of Dona Paula. It is also home of a historic British war-graves cemetery. After the end of Portuguese rule in Goa in 1961, Dona Paula became a fashionable residential area and address.

OLD LOVE STORY ABOUT DONA PAULA::

Another quite interesting old story has been linked with this dona Paula beach. Although, some people claims that this is just a rumor but others say that this story had been linked with a old Portuguese scripture. This story is as follows:

Dona Paula was a young girl & the daughter of Portuguese Viceroy Dona Paula de Menezes. this young & innocent girl felt a deep connection with a local goan fisherman . This is like falling love in first sight. When viceroy knew about their affair, he became very angry & forbade young dona Paula to meet her lover again.

Extremely sad & upset dona Paula can't think her life without the young fishermen. She felt unbearable pain & immense sorrow without him. In the meantime, when this pain become insufferable, she decided to giveup her life. In the name of her immortal love , She threw herself off in the Arabian Sea . This way, a true love story came to an end & become a historical reminiscence.

When the viceroy knew that he had lost his beloved daughter,he became overwhelmed with so much sorrow & grief. he had left with nothing but the memories of his innocent daughter & decided to name the Arabian Sea area, as Dona Paula . This place is a tribute to an eternal romance& love and give us a message that, if you ever gonna love someone,it should be like dona Paula,so much pure & heartwarming.

Place to see in Goa :
Fort Aguada is a well-preserved seventeenth-century Portuguese fort, along with a lighthouse, standing in Goa, India, on Sinquerim Beach, overlooking the Arabian Sea.

The fort was constructed in 1612 to guard against the Dutch and the Marathas. It was a reference point for the vessels coming from Europe at that time. This old Portuguese fort stands on the beach south of Candolim, at the shore of the Mandovi River. It was initially tasked with defense of shipping and the nearby Bardez sub-district.

A freshwater spring within the fort provided water supply to the ships that used to stop by. This is how the fort got its name: Aguada, meaning Water. Crews of passing ships would often visit to replenish their freshwater stores. On the fort stands a four-story Portuguese lighthouse, erected in 1864 and the oldest of its kind in Asia. Built in 1612, it was once the grandstand of 79 cannons. It has the capacity of storing 2,376,000 gallons of water, one of the biggest freshwater storages of the time in whole of Asia. This fort is divided in two segments: the upper part acted as fort and watering station, while the lower part served as a safe berth for Portuguese ships. Whereas the upper part has a moat, underground water storage chamber, gunpowder room, lighthouse, and bastions, it also has a secret escape passage to use during time of war and emergency. The lighthouse at the initial stage is used to emit light once in 7 minutes. In 1834 it was changed to emit light creating eclipse every 30 seconds, however, it was abandoned in 1976.

Fort Aguada was the most prized and crucial fort of Portuguese. The fort is so large that it envelops the entire peninsula at the southwestern tip of Bardez. Built on the mouth of river Mandovi, it was strategically located and was the chief defence of Portuguese against the Dutch and Marathas.
