" Money attracts Money "
Maya ko maya mile, kar kar Lambe haath
The story runs as follows:-
There was a villager. He didn't keep significant dealings with persons around him. He wasn't quite mature but he had high dreams. One day, tired of his poverty he thought, " I shall have to get rid of my poverty and become rich! But how to become rich." His wish was strong but he didn't know the means of becoming rich. Days passed by in thinking so.
One day he was shopping in the market that he heard two persons talking near by. One of them was saying that 'brother, only money attracts money.' Just these words got set in his mind and said to himself, 'Now I have come to know how to earn money. Now I shall become rich.' He was very happy. Now he knew how to earn money.
One day he got out in this concern. He had a silver coin. He started roaming about in the market with this coin. While roaming around he reached the vegetable market. There he saw a richman sitting on his throne. There was a heap of thousands of coins near him.
The villager entered the shop and stood beside the throne and he threw his coin in the heap of coins of the richman. The richman saw it but did not utter anything. When the villager kept standing there for sometime then the richman asked him," Why? What is the matter? Why are you standing here?" The villager replied hesitating, " I had heard someone saying that money attracts money. So I threw my rupee in your's heap of coins. Now I am waiting for the time when my coin may comeback with your coins attracted with it. The richman replied on this smilingly, " You are uselessly standing here! Go to your home. " "Why your richness? Have I uttered something wrong? Does money not attract money?" he asked from the richman in disguise. The richman made him understand while getting him seated near him," You uttered the right words but you yourself don't know its meaning yourself." Now the villager was set thinking and started looking at the richman pensively. The richman made him understand, " The reality is that your rupee coin was alone, my rupees were many and united. Your rupee came to my rupees and they attracted it."
He made him understand further and said, " The behaviour of the rupees is similar to that of human. Any person who lives alone, is not compatible with any, does not succeed in anywork. But a person who due to his good behaviour lives in society amicably, succeeds in every work. You must have heard, "It needs two hands to make a clapping."
Whether the villager could understand something or not, is not known to any body but he uttered immediately, " That's right. Those who wish to succeed, they should make it a habit to live amicably.
If one rupee is gone, let it be gone, but a wisdom worthy of a lac is well perceived."
It is hoped that this story shall play a conspicuous role in creating a well perceived, tolerant, simple and vibrant society.
Good Luck.
