Located in Pithoragarh at an altitude of 3,470 m (approximately), the Darma Valley is the ideal getaway destination for nature lovers and those looking to escape the cacophony of everyday life. The valley, shaped by the Darma river, boasts 12 tribal villages where are tourists are welcome with open arms to experience a slice of local life in quaint homestays. However, what this valley is most popular for is mesmerising eponymous trek. The difficulty level of the Darma Valley trek is difficult to moderate but is equally rewarding. Pretty waterfalls, picturesque sites and the calm of the mountains are enchanting. You begin the trek from Sobla and make your way through the Dar village and make your way to the villages named Duktu and Dantu. A part of the trek where you have to cross towering glaciers will be challenging but the spectacular views would make the journey that much more rewarding.

Dharchula- Culturally-rich Dharchula is a picturesque hill town located in the Pithoragarh district on the ancient trading route linking the Kumaon region to Nepal. Encircled by towering mountains, the town is nestled in a verdant valley on the banks of the gushing Kali river. Standing on the Kailash Mansarovar and Chota Kailash yatra routes, it attracts tourists and devotees in large numbers. Dharchula offers panoramic view of the mighty Panchachuli peak to its west and falls on several trekking routes. The unique Kangdali festival is held here once in 12 years. Interestingly, Dharchula is connected to Nepal by a bridge across the Kali river.
