Disclaimer: Was looking at round trip flights to Port Blair, and they have never been so cheap before!! Usually well above Rs 20,000 - 22,000 return, for our dates, they are almost half the cost!!! From Delhi and Mumbai, return tickets around 14k, from Bangalore around Rs 11k and from Chennai around 9k. Hurry and book!
Andamans is one of my favourite places in the world. I have seen the Mediterranean Sea, the Aegean Sea, Bali and Thailand, but the Andamans islands and the sea there is as beautiful as can be! The sea itself is of a dozen different shades - a beautiful light blue, green, turquoise, emerald and more.
We shall be staying in 3 islands. The beautiful Havelock Island, the backpacker vibe Neil Island, and Port Blair
There is a little bit of everything on this trip. Long walks on the beach, a star studded sky, a hundred shooting stars, exploring a mangrove forest (Elephant beach), snorkelling in one of the most vibrant reefs, (optional) scuba diving for the adventurous, scooties zipping across islands, and the story of Andamans told to you by Cap'n Nero. My first book, yet to be published, is about these islands!!
There will be lots of long conversations. And games that we shall play! And we could have a fun beach photoshoot too, so get your dresses and beach wear and six packs and sunglasses and frisbees!
But mostly, I can't wait to lie down at night on the sand, and feel the sea breeze on my face, and stare at the stars.
