RARE/STRANGE PHENOMENON: This could be the only video of this type in public domain. It is definitely a very rare clip. (Longer recording is available with the author)
No, this is not a strange bird giving birth directly to a chick. Though the uninitiated could be excused for thinking so! Actually this is a Bronze-winged Jacana which can carry its chicks under its wings for their safety. It's the only bird I know of which can do it.
The Jacana here is seen dropping off it chick after carrying it under its wing for a while. Cheers to the vast diversity of nature.

This Eurasian Hobby, in a rare gesture, patiently gave me company for an hour and a half. During this time it saw off a number of mobbing attempts by the crows. Preened itself nicely. Sat still while I clicked 🤗. One feels humbled to be part of such moments 🙏🙏
