दि. 20 , 21 रोजी रतनगड आणि सांदन व्हॅली ट्रेक चे आयोजन केले होते. 9 वर्ष ते 62 वर्ष वयोगटातील 18 सहभागी नी ट्रेक यशस्वीरीत्या पूर्ण केला . साद सह्याद्री टीम चे .raut ह्यांनी सुरक्षा व ट्रेक वरील वैविध्यपूर्ण विषयांवरील माहिती दिली.

*ग्रुप -* बोरीवली येथील एका रहिवशी सोसायटीचा 40/45 लोकांचा समुह

*ग्रुप लिडर -* सोसायटिमधीलच काहि ट्रेक केलेला कमी अनुभव असलेला *फक्त एक व्यक्ती*

*दुर्घटना -* शिडी घाट मार्गावरील पहिल्या शिडीच्या वरचा गुहेचा पॅच येथुन 100 फुट खाली पडुन जागेवरच एकाचा मृत्यू

*दुर्घटना होण्याची कारणे* -

1. कोणत्याही प्रशिक्षित ट्रेक समुहासोबत न जाता पैसे वाचावे म्हणुन कमी अनुभव असताना लोकाना अवघड वाटेन घेऊन जाने.

2. स्थानिक वाटाड्या न घेणे... स्थानिक वाटाड्यानी सध्या नक्किच हि वाट टाळली असती.

3. समुहात जे चालणारे लोक आहेत त्यांना गणेश घाटाने पाठवले(लाबंचा रस्ता आहे म्हणुन) व वयस्कर व लेडीज लहान मुले यांना वेळ वाचेल म्हणुन (जवळचा रस्ता अवघड शिडी घाट) या वाटेने घेऊन जाने.

4. सुरक्षा साधने नसने.

*स्थानिकांचे कार्य* - भिमाशकंर गणेश घाट शिडी घाट व पदरगड भागात स्थानिक *अमर चिमटे व टिम* गाईडचे चागंले काम करतात.

दुर्घटनेची माहिती मिळताच या टिमने लगेच पोलिसांना सोबत जाऊन पंचनामा करुन, रेस्कु टिमला बोलवले तर त्यानाही त्रास नको म्हणुन चादरीचे स्ट्रेचर बनवुन मृतदेह 05:00 वाजता खाली आणला. तसेच वर जे लोक गेले आहेत त्याना गणेश घाटाने खाली आणले.

*महत्वाचे* ईकडील फाॅरेस्ट कडे स्टीलचे स्ट्रेचर आहेत जे फोल्ड होत नाहित. ईकडच्या स्थानिक टिमला फोल्डेबल स्ट्रेचर, रोप व ईतर सुरक्षा साधनांची आवश्यकता आहे.
