आपल्या संस्कृतीत पितृपक्ष ह्या चे जे महत्त्व आहे तसेच महत्व महायान बौद्ध मध्ये उल्लंबन ह्या फेस्टिवल ला आहे. Ullambana also known as the “Ghost Festival,” is during which people of the Mahayana Buddhist faith followers celebrate their dead loved ones, as it is believed that their spirits return to the land of the living for a day.
