Meet the Speaker: Darpana Athale

An architect, design entrepreneur, writer and educator, practicing for the past 25 years, Darpana leads Sarvasva Designs Pvt Ltd and In.Kaa(repository for Arts, Crafts,Design of India) from Pune and Goa, and weaves stories through Design, Photography, Urban Sketching & Poetry. A promoter of design thinking, she has co-founded the Association of Designers of India (ADI)& Pune Design Festival, amongst other design-led initiatives. She has initiated and taught the first ever course of Architecture Journalism in the country, since 2001. And mentored many students and teachers of Architecture and Design, as well as school children. She is currently the Vice-President of ADI Pune Chapter, Education Committee Member of Goa Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Media Committee Convener for Constro 2020, apart from being the Chief Thinking Officer at Thinkering, Goa as a Consultant.
