Fierce Grace, Carved in Devotion – The Narasingha of the Rath
Lord Narasingha, the ferocious form of Vishnu, who is meticulously etched into the sides of the Rath, rises along with the chariot.
Near the front or corners of each chariot is a Narasingha Murti, which is said to guard the Rath and destroy evil and ego. These carvings are more than just ornaments; they have roaring strength, big eyes, and keen claws. They are wood blessings that guard the spiritual path that lies ahead.
To ensure that every Narasingha conveys the appropriate expression of strength, divinity, and elegance, every detail is hand-carved by skilled sculptors who work with both skill and spiritual devotion.
