This small colorful box, called as the 'Art Cart', is designed by Sankalpa : Art Journey, a sub unit of Thamarai in Auroville. Its walls come down to create tabletops. Small stools, which can be packed into the cart, come out, as well as boxes of colors and reams of paper.The Art Cart, loaded with tempera paints, oil pastels, markers, pencils and recycled paper, will not only open up spaces for self-expression, it will help people create their work of art together.

Sankalpa provides art therapy and creative empowerment programs, to facilitate insight and connection through art.This art serves as a bridge between village youth and women in south India, the international community of Auroville, and beyond.
