Jiuzhaigou Valley (Nine Village Valley) is definitely one of the most amazing places on Earth. Located in northern Sichuan province, on the edge of the Tibetan Plateau, it is China’s national park and a nature reserve.

The location was barely known for outsiders. It was used for extracting wood until Chinese government announced it a national park in 1982. The park is one of the most-visited tourist attractions in China ever since. The tourism impact on environment concerns the nature preservation organizations.

Lake Baikal, Siberia, Russia. The deepest lake in the world, reaching 1,642 m (5,387 ft) depth, becomes a gorgeous spot when is frozen.

The freshwater lake is also one of the oldest lakes in the world: at least 25 million years old! The lake also contains about 20% of the world’s unfrozen fresh water. These pictures are made during the cold season and depict amazing ice engravings.

Commonly described as the City of Palaces, Mysore in India has a number of historic palaces of which Mysore Palace is the most famous one.
The palace was commissioned in 1897 after the old palace was destroyed in a fire during a wedding, and its construction was completed in 1912.
During the Dasara festival in the months of September and October the palace is illuminated with more than 10,000 bulbs, offering a magnificent sight.
