Finn's Weaver — one of the rarest and most range-restricted birds in India, found almost nowhere outside the Terai belt of Uttarakhand and West Bengal. 🪶
This species (Ploceus megarhynchus) is IUCN Vulnerable — habitat loss in the grasslands it depends on has pushed its population into steady decline. Spotting one is a genuine birding milestone, not just a photo op.
Filmed at Haripura Reservoir, Uttarakhand, one of the few reliable sites left for this species.
📍 Save this if Finn's Weaver is on your India birding list.
