Place: Kinner Kailash (4800m)

One of the toughest Shiv Yatra in India kinner Kailash. From Kalpa, Kinnaur, Kinner Kailash is easily visible in clear weather conditions. Visiting this place again and witness the beautiful Kailash Parvat of Shiva. Such a awesome feeling. I climbed in 2018 and one of my toughest Trek ever. Har Har Mahadev.

Highest point: ~4,800 meters / ~15,700 feet (near the Kinnar Kailash Shivling)

Base: Tangling or Thangi village (around 2,600 meters / 8,500 feet)
🗺 Short Itinerary (6-7 Days)

👉 Day 1: Reach Kalpa / Reckong Peo — Acclimatization and local exploration
👉 Day 2: Kalpa / Peo → Tangling village → Trek to Ashiqui Park (~3,300 m) — 6-7 km trek
👉 Day 3: Ashiqui Park → Ganesh Park (~4,100 m) — 6-7 km trek
👉 Day 4: Ganesh Park → Kinnar Kailash Shivling (~4,800 m) → Return to Ganesh Park — 8-10 km round
👉 Day 5: Ganesh Park → Tangling → Drive back to Kalpa / Peo
👉 Day 6: Buffer day / Rest / Explore Kalpa / Return journey

📍 Location

Himachal Pradesh, India

Trek starts from Jaon village in the Kullu district

The destination is Shrikhand Mahadev Peak, altitude ~5,227 meters (17,150 ft)

📆 Best Time to Go

Mid-July to Mid-August (Yatra season, organized by local authorities)

Can also be done in June–September (for experienced trekkers)

1. Jaon Village (Start Point)

2. Singhad (registration & base camp)

3. Thachru

4. Bheem Dwar / Parvati Bagh

5. Nain Sarovar

6. Shrikhand Mahadev Peak
