झारखंड: प्राकतिक सौंदर्य एवं खनिज संपदा से परिपूर्ण झारखंड राज्य के लातेहार जिले में समुद्र तल से 3,622 फीट ऊंचाई पर स्थित नेतरहाट का मौसम सालभर खुशनुमा रहता है। इसे प्रकृति का अनमोल तोहफा कहा जाता है, यही वजह है इस अनुपम स्थल को निहारने के लिए पर्यटक यहां खिंचे चले आते हैं। आने वाले पर्यटक प्रकृति के इस खूबसूरत स्थल को 'नेचर हाट' भी कहते हैं।

नेतरहाट को 'छोटानागपुर की रानी' भी कहा जाता है। नेतरहाट शब्द की उत्पत्ति के विषय में कहा जाता है कि नेतुर (बांस) और हातु (हाट) मिलकर यह शब्द बना है। प्राचीन समय में यहां बांस का जंगल था, जिस कारण इसका नाम नेतरहाट पड़ गया। नेतरहाट पठार के निकट की पहाड़ियां सात पाट कहलाती हैं। यहां बिरहोर, उरांव और बिरजिया जाति के लोग निवास करते हैं।

रांची से करीब 160 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित नेतरहाट आने के लिए प्रतिदिन बसें चलती हैं। रांची से आने के दौरान नेतरहाट पहुंचने के 50 किलोमीटर पूर्व से ही पहाड़ियों पर बने टेढ़े-मेढ़े रास्तों पर किसी वाहन की सवारी आपको रोमांचित कर देगी।

नेतरहाट पहुंचने के लिए घने जंगलों और पहाड़ियों से होकर गुजरना पड़ता है। बनारी गांव से एक सर्पीला रास्ता हमें वहां तक ले जाता है। इन रास्तों से गुजरते हुए कभी-कभी लोग भयभीत भी हो जाते हैं। रास्तेभर बांस, सेमल, पलाश, पइन, साल और अयर के पेड़ आपका स्वागत करते नजर आएंगे तो कचनार फूल की महक आपको तरोताजा करती रहेगी।

नेतरहाट आने वाले पर्यटक यहां के सूर्योदय और सूर्यास्त देखना नहीं भूलते। सूर्योदय के दौरान इंद्रधनुषी छटा को देखकर ऐसा लगता है कि हरी वादियों से एक रक्ताभ गोला धीरे-धीरे ऊपर उठ रहा है। इस क्षण प्रकृति का कण-कण सप्तरंगी हो जाता है और पर्यटक इस दृश्य को देखकर सहसा कह उठते हैं- अद्भुत!

सूर्यास्त देखने के लिए लोग नेतरहाट से 10 किलोमीटर दूर मैगनोलिया प्वाइंट जाते हैं।

पर्यटक यहां का प्रसिद्ध नेतरहाट आवासीय विद्यालय भी देखने आते हैं। इस विद्यालय की स्थापना इंडियन पब्लिक स्कूल कान्फ्रेंस के संस्थापक सदस्य एफ .जे. पायर्स ने वर्ष 1951 में किया था। यह विद्यालय गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा के लिए विख्यात है।

पर्यटक पहाड़ी से उतरती कोयल नदी की बलखाती लहरों के नयनाभिराम दृश्य देखने के लिए कोयल व्यू-प्वांइट पर पहुंचते हैं। नेतरहाट से 35 किलोमीटर दूर शंख नदी पर सदनी जल प्रपात एक महत्वपूर्ण पिकनिक स्थल है तो नेतरहाट से 65 किलोमीटर दूर लोध जलप्रपात भी है।

यदि जंगल-पहाड़ होते हुए पैदल जाएं तो 16 किलोमीटर की दूरी ही तय करनी पड़ती है। वैसे मैगनोलिया प्वाइंट से भी दूर पहाड़ों से गिरती लोधा जलप्रपात के पानी की तीन पतली धाराएं दिखती हैं। यह जलप्रपात 468 फीट की ऊंचाई से गिरती है।

यहां आने वाले पर्यटक ऊपरी घाघरी झरना और निचली घाघरी झरना भी देखना नहीं भूलते। झारखंड का दूसरा सबसे बड़ा जलप्रपात बरहा घाघ भी यहीं है, जो पर्यटकों को अपनी ओर आकर्षित करता है।

यहां तीन से चार दिन रहकर प्रातिक छटा का लुत्फ पूरी तरह उठाया जा सकता है। यहां ठरहने के लिए वन विभाग के रेस्ट हाउस के अलावा विभिन्न श्रेणी के निजी रेस्ट हाउस भी उपलब्ध हैं।

नेतरहाट आने के लिए रांची से गुमला होते भी एक मार्ग है और डालटनगंज या लातेहार से बेतला नेशनल पार्क और महुआडांड़ होते हुए भी यहां पहुंचा जा सकता है। प्रतिदिन पांच से छह बसें रांची और डालटनगंज से चलती हैं। अगर अपने वाहन से सैर करना चाहें तो कहना ही क्या!

अगर आप गर्मी की लंबी छुट्टी में किसी पर्यटन स्थल की सैर करना चाहते हैं तो नेतरहाट इसके लिए उत्तम स्थान हो सकता है।
