was a attack on the Parliament of India in New Delhi, India on . The perpetrators belonged to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) - two Pakistan-raised terrorist organisations. The attack led to the deaths of six Delhi Police personnel, two Parliament Security Service personnel and a gardener – in total 9 – and led to increased tensions between India and Pakistan, resulting in the 2001–02 India–Pakistan standoff. The 5 terrorists were killed outside the parliament.
There were about 100 members of parliament in the building at the time of attack, although no one was hurt.
The gunmen are thought to have used a fake identity sticker to get through tight security surrounding the parliament complex.

After rigorous investigation, four accused were identified for involvement in the attack: Mohammad Afzal Guru, Shaukat Hussain Guru, SAR Gilani and Afsan Guru. While Afzal Guru was sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for five years and to pay a fine, death sentences were imposed on the other three accused.

Afzal Guru was hanged on 9 February 2013. There were widespread protests in various parts of the country opposing the death sentence. In New Delhi, both Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University students protested outside Jantar Mantar, which resulted in clashes between the students and Delhi Police.

Meghalaya to reopen for tourists from December 21:
After nine months of caution, Meghalaya is (finally!) going to reopen to tourists from outside the state. The “Abode of Clouds” has decided to allow outstation travellers from 21 December. But we are still in the midst of a pandemic, and entry isn’t going to be allowed without some terms and conditions.

Tourists must download the Meghalaya Tourism app and register on it by uploading their photo ID. Only those with an e-invite will only be allowed to enter the state, and this e-invite can be generated with the tourism app.

to get an e-invite to visit Meghalaya:
⚫To generate an e-invite, travellers must register on the Meghalaya Tourism app, and present proof that they have booked an accommodation for a minimum stay of two nights.
⚫Those visiting friends or family and staying with them will have to submit their address and contact details.
Tourists also have to show their complete itinerary to be issued an invite.

The minister had said on November 11 that the Indian airlines can operate up to 70 per cent of their pre-COVID domestic passenger flights due to the prevailing demand amid the coronavirus situation.
The cap on the number of domestic flights that Indian airlines are permitted to operate was increased from 70 per cent to 80 per cent of their pre-COVID levels on Thursday, said Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri.

Ambedkar passed away at Mahaparinirvana in Delhi on December 6, 1956, and was cremated in a Buddhist manner at Chaityabhoomi in Mumbai on December 7, the next day . Nidhanapurvi they had accepted hundreds of thousands of followers of Buddhism on October 14 1 9 56, and Buddhist people ' Bodhisattva believe. Ambedkar was a Buddhist guru, hence the term ' Mahaparinirvana ' has been used for his death . In Mumbai from 1st December on the occasion of Mahaparinirvana DayMillions of people from all over India visit Chaityabhoomi , his burial place . More than 25 lakh Bhima followers gather at Chaityabhoomi, and salute the relics and images of Ambedkar in the Chaityabhoomi Stupa and pay obeisance to Babasaheb. On this day, Ambedkarites from India and all over the world pay homage to Ambedkar by placing his image and statue in front of him
