The lake around which the town of Rewalsar is established has a maximum depth of 6.5 metres. It is rectangular in shape, with the catchment area situated to its north and west. Rewalsar Attractions:-

Gurudwara:-

This gurudwara was built in 1930

by Raja Joginder Sen of Mandi. It commemorates Guru Gobind Singh's visit, when he sought to evolve a common strategy with the hill rulers against the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. Mini Zoo:-

The forest department maintains a small zoo at Rewalsar. Above Rewalsar, the 'Seven Lakes' are also of interest. Monasteries At opposite ends of the lake there are two Tibetan monasteries. The Bhutanese also have one. Temples:-

At Rewalsar there are three Hindu temples. These are dedicated to the sage Lomas, to Lord Krishna and to Lord Shiva.:)



Getting There By Air:-

The closest airport from Manali is Bhuntar, which is around 63 km from the town of Mandi. By Rail:-
The closest railhead is in Kiratpur which 125 km away from the town of Mandi. By Road Rewalsar is 24 km by road from Mandi. Taxis and buses are available at Mandi:)

Deeply saddened by the tragic incident involving a Tibetan monk in Rewalsar (Sir Ki Dhar Village)😞. As per ongoing investigation reports, drug addiction appears to be one of the serious concerns connected with this case.

This incident is a strong reminder for all of us that society must stay alert and united against the spread of drugs like “Cheeta” in our district. I request everyone to support local authorities by reporting suspicious activities related to drug peddling. Let us all stay alert and responsible citizens by reporting any suspicious activities related to drug peddling in our area. If you notice anyone spreading harmful and addictive substances, please inform the authorities immediately. The real culprits are not the drug users, but the peddlers who are spreading and trapping our youth.

Drugs destroy families, futures, and our youth. It’s a one way entry and there is no way back at all.
As parents and community members, it is our collective responsibility to guide our children, stay connected with them, and protect them from such dangers.

Zero tolerance for drugs and any kind of addictive substances. Together, we can keep our society safe and strong.

Strong parenting, open communication, and awareness at home can protect our youth from falling into harmful habits. Encourage them to be mentally strong, confident, and compassionate human beings. Strong values at home build a strong society.

Let us work together as responsible citizens and parents to build a safer and healthier future for our young and beautiful souls.
