Before Kedarnath, there's the temple the Pandavas built for forgiveness.

Bhima raised this shrine after the Mahabharata to atone for the war that ended his own cousins.

Today it's the Dwitiya Kedar, the Second Kedar, sitting 16km deep inside Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary with no road anywhere near it.
You walk the whole way. Camp at the temple. Then rise before dawn for the final 2km to Buda Madhyamaheshwar, where the Chaukhamba massif turns gold and drops its reflection straight into the pond at your feet.
