This week, we dive into one of the heart practices of the Saundarya Retreat — our yogic philosophy discussions.

Throughout the retreat, we’ll explore how yoga and nature contemplation are not separate, but deeply intertwined paths toward balance, clarity, and a more rooted way of living. This conversation is at the core of Japam’s values — that true health is not just personal, but connected to how we live within the natural world around us.

We will root our reflections in the ancient teachings of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, especially the Yamas and Niyamas — the ethical foundations of yogic living.

Through open discussions and quiet inquiry, we’ll ask:
- How does nature embody these principles effortlessly?
- How can we use the wisdom of both yoga and the natural world to nourish our physical, mental, and emotional well-being?

Rather than theory alone, these gatherings will be living conversations — moments to sit together, breathe in the jungle air, and rediscover what it means to live in harmony with ourselves, with others, and with the Earth.

Nature teaches patience, resilience, and interconnection. Yoga gives us the tools to embody them.
This is philosophy not for study, but for living.

🌿 Saundarya Retreat Spotlight: Immersing in the Jungles of Goa 🌿

This week, we're taking a deeper look into one of the most grounding and awe-inspiring experiences planned for the Saundarya Retreat — our visit to Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary and Netravali.

These protected forests are living, breathing temples of the South Goan jungle — rich with age-old trees, medicinal plants, hidden streams, and the calls of birds and animals who have made this place their home long before us.

🦜 In Cotigao, we’ll walk beneath giant trees and learn to soften into nature’s pace. The canopy is thick and alive — and walking here is like stepping into a still, sacred rhythm. We’ll take time to observe, to listen, to feel the forest. To root ourselves in the present moment.

💧 In Netravali, you’ll meet the famous bubble lake — a mysterious little marvel where the water dances with natural spring bubbles. We’ll also explore natural streams, simple village life, and, if timing allows, take a forest path to a quiet waterfall.

These visits are not just outings — they are an invitation to remember the deep connection we hold with the Earth. To let the jungle recalibrate our nervous systems. To stand in the midst of wild beauty and simply receive.

Let this be a chance to remember what it feels like to belong to the wild.
