SO HERE TWO COME SNOWSTORM BACK TO BACK
MAKING A REASONABLY GOOD END OF JAN 2024
Srinagar, there was a very good chance that Srinagar could see smowfall
however, the slopes of the mountains surrounding Srinagar will snowfall,
also, as you travel to Tangmar for Gulmarg, the snowfall will increase as the valley elevation rises towards Tangmar.
Gulmarg, always the best place to be in. Should become totally white, even as you start to drive up from Tangmar to Gulmarg.
Sonamarg and Pahalgam will also get good snowfall.
Manali and places other side of Atal Tunnel, will get good snowfall, be ready for heavy traffic jams by guys who dont want to wait one behind the other, and think those in one line are fools, these guys who overtake the cars waiting in one like are the guys who cause traffic jams and severe problems even for police to control traffic, cause eventually interlocking takes place and no one go back a bit to open the jam. Cheers. These guys should be fined heavily on the spot, the fines collected will be enough to give the police on duty a good big bonus at the end of the year for a dangerous job.
All passes around Kashmir Valley will likely close for a few days till snow clearing is done, however, If Sinthan Pass closes, it will remain closed till end of season, but the drive up to as far as you can go will be amazing.
Kalpa and Chitkul will see snowfall.
Kaza and Leh will have to wait I guess.
Locations in Uttarkhand will see snowfall only in the very highest of mountain tops, so Auli and all may have to wait a bit.
Regions like Dalhousie, Dharamkot, Shimla, Nainital, wont see any snowfall as yet.
