Towards Harsil Valley

आज की यात्रा सालंग गाँव की तरफ है। भटवारी से आगे के क्षेत्रों में आज "अंडूड़ी" त्यौहार मनाया जाता है। दयारा बुग्याल में पर्यटन की नयी भाषा में इसको बटर फेस्टिवल नाम दे दिया गया है। खैर मैंने दयारा बुग्याल की बजाय सालंग गाँव जाना पसंद किया क्योंकि मुझको वास्तविक त्यौहार ही पसंद है। ग्रीष्म ऋतु के दस्तक देते ही सालंग गाँव के लोग अपने मवेशीयों के साथ ऊँचे बुग्यालों में बनी अपनी लकड़ी की छानियों  में चले जाते हैं। वहां ऊँचे बुग्यालों में उगने वाली औषधीय गुणों से भरपूर घास व अनुकूल ठन्डे वातावरण का असर दुधारू  पशुओं के दुग्ध उत्पादन पर भी पड़ता है। इसी क्रम में अगस्त मध्य में देवी-देवताओं को दूध से बने उत्पाद चढ़ाये जाते हैं व उनकी पूजा की जाती है। इस त्यौहार को अंडूडी कहा जाता है।
