Late Evening Drive to Develada Kere (Devalkere) : After a long time there was a good rain by around 4pm yesterday. We had to visit my co-brother’s place Devalkere (Devalada Kere). The day was cool and it was still drizzling by the time we left Sakleshpur @ 7 pm. We had prepared for it and covered ourselves for the drizzling ride and we were expecting a rain on the way. I was wearing plane glasses to avoid flies into my eyes while driving, could only wear it for about 6 km. It was dark early and those drizzles on my glasses made it tough for me to view the road through glares. Soon after I removed it, was able to maneuver my bike on the twisty curly roads at reasonable speeds. After we passed about 15 km, we started experiencing thick mists covering our roads, thought it would be over soon but that didn’t happen. Solitary green routes covered in mist though is a great pleasure to walk through but wasn’t easy to drive through. Road was totally un-visible on high beam and had to keep on toggling between low/high beams to stay on the road and was thinking why there isn’t a fog lamp on the bikes. After we drove about 2 km, I could feel the dew-drops chilling on my eyebrows and mustache. We stopped near a bridge and switched off the ignition to enjoy the pitch dark road covered in mist alongside wearied sounds and swirling water flowing down the bridge. It was truly an amazing feeling being there and quite romantic too for couple like us. We weren’t expecting it at all and could not ask for more. Wanted to be there forever! or at least till that gush of haze disappears, my better half reminded me that we need to get back to Sakleshpur post dinner. We started off again on the foggy roads to reach our destination. All in all, a thrilling wonderful un-expected ride with my wife is always welcome.
