Thousands of people from all walks of life join the festivities on Paoki (paddy transplantation festival), which falls in the month of May. Guests, who come for the 3-day Paoki festival, are treated with free food, drinks and shelter. Purulians are peace-loving people and enthusiastic entertainers. The village has produced 7 films, 30 audio albums and a few documentaries. “The Hunters”, which was formed in early 1980s, is in Manipur Chronicle for being the first rock band in the state. “Ihai Moe Ali Bai-e”, which hit the theatres in 1992, was the first film in Senapati district. The people of the village continue to produce audio albums at regular intervals. Every place has its own uniqueness and specialty, and so too is Purul. So, this fan page has been created with an aim to share the rich cultural heritage and beauty of the village. It’s a great joy to share the little Purul has with other fellow human beings around the world. The joy of sharing and growing together is immense.
