"This was my 5th trek with Paye Paye Treks Tours & Travels, and honestly, every journey with them feels more special than the last. I want to sincerely thank Rajatda for giving me so many beautiful memories, experiences, and the confidence to keep exploring the mountains.

As a solo female trekker, safety and comfort matter the most to me, and with Paye Paye, I never had to worry about anything. From the very beginning, he makes you feel safe, cared for, and welcomed — almost like traveling with family. That feeling of “home away from home” is very rare to find in trekking groups, and that’s exactly what makes Paye Paye different.

A special thanks to Rajatda for being so patient, supportive, and encouraging throughout every trek. Whether it’s handling difficult situations calmly, motivating us during tough climbs, or simply making sure everyone is okay — his experience and leadership truly stand out.

Also, thank you for tolerating my super slow walking speed and my endless photo-clicking stops everywhere on the trail! I know I can be the last person on the trek because I get distracted by every mountain, cloud, flower, river, and sunset. But not once did I feel rushed or uncomfortable. That patience means a lot.

"I am getting older, and I even have a stent placed in my heart. To be honest, my body doesn't support me the way it used to. I honestly felt it would no longer be possible for me to hike and trek in the mountains. Yet, fueled purely by your relentless encouragement and belief in me, I just completed my second trek: Har Ki Doon.

soon as I reached the job (base camp), I got an upset stomach. Just as I was physically breaking down, it was your stubborn attitude and fighting spirit that pulled me through. It is entirely because of you that I got the chance to be mesmerized by the sheer beauty of Har Ki Doon.

I won't belittle you by just saying "thank you," brother; instead, here is all the love my heart can hold. Please continue to stand by people like me, encourage us, and take us on treks in the mountains just like this.

“That’s it. My body just can’t take it anymore, brother! I’m not coming again.’
Whenever I hear people repeating this while collapsing onto the lush green meadow beside the river after a brutal climb, I quietly sit at the very back and watch them slowly turn still, almost spellbound. Wiping the sweat off their foreheads, they dissolve into the Himalayas and lose themselves completely in the moment.

So often I feel tempted to tease them—
‘Well, uncle! Filling your chest with mountains, are you?’

But I never do. Because I know this is exactly what happens. Once the exhaustion of an urban body is crossed, a pure, indescribable enchantment suddenly devours the entire being. It casts such a spell that the moment you ask them to start the return trek, they snap back—

‘Why such a hurry? Are you a trek leader or a labour contractor? We’re not moving for at least another half hour.’

Meanwhile, the hands of the clock keep turning. Four long hours pass and afternoon thickens around us. After long, silent conversations with the valleys of Har Ki Dun and Yamdwar, when we finally begin our descent, each of us leaves something behind on that green expanse.

No one has ever managed to return with everything they came with.
Not this time either.
And I doubt it will ever happen.

I only dream that on the day marked as my last, I may remain forever in the mountains.

"এটাই শেষ।শরীর দেয় না বাপু!আর আসছি না " আওড়ানো মানুষজনেরা যখন চড়াই ভেঙে শ্রান্ত পায়ে নদী ন্যাওটা সবুজ ঘাসজমিতে বসে পড়ে আমি তখন ঘাপটি মেরে সবার পেছনে বসে থেকে ওদের স্থানু হয়ে যাওয়া দেখতে থাকি। কপালের ঘাম মুছতে মুছতে ওরা নিজেদের হিমালয়ে মিলিয়ে মিশিয়ে দিয়ে বুঁদ হয়ে যায়!খুব ইচ্ছে করে টোন কেটে বলি... " কী কাকা! বুক ফাঁকা করে পাহাড় ভরে নিচ্ছ যে? " পারি না। আমি জানি এমনটাই হয়। শহুরে শরীরের ক্লান্তি পেরিয়ে এক অমল মায়া গোটা সত্তাটুকু টপ করে গিলে খেয়ে ফেলে।এমন ভাব পাতায় যে ফিরতি হাঁটা শুরু করতে বললে শুনতে হয়.. " এত তাড়া দেওয়ার কী হলটা শুনি? তুমি বাপু ট্রেক লিডার না লেবার কনট্রাক্টর? আরও আধাঘন্টার আগে উঠছি না। "

ঘড়ির কাঁটা ঘুরতে থাকে। চার চারটে ঘন্টা পেরিয়ে দুপুর ঘনায়। হর কি দুন আর যমদ্বার ভ্যালির সাথে লম্বা আলাপচারিতা শেষে যখন ফেরার পথ ধরি আমাদের সবারই কিছু না কিছু পড়ে থেকে যায় ওই সবুজ প্রান্তরটায়। সবটুকু নিয়ে ফেরা কখনও হয়ে ওঠে নি।এবারও উঠল না। ভবিষ্যতেও হয়ে ওঠার সম্ভাবনা দেখি না। শুধু স্বপ্ন দেখি, যে দিনটা আমার জন্য শেষদিন হিসেবে লিখে রাখা আছে সেদিন যেন পাহাড়েই অনন্ত রয়ে যেতে পারি।
