Our Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri. Conrad K Sangma announced the Meghalaya Autumn Calendar 2022 at a Press Conference on Wednesday (August 24, 2022) at the Yojana Bhavan, Main Secretariat Building.
This calendar contains all the upcoming events for the rest of the year.
This Press Conference was attended by HCM, Minister of Tourism Shri. Sniawbhalang Dhar, Commissioner & Secretary (Tourism) Dr. Vijay Kumar, IAS and Director of Tourism Shri. Cyril V Diengdoh, IAS.

75th Independence Day

This is called Panur..
In our village since long long time they used to fly different types of Phanur every year during the INDEPENDENCE DAY i.e 15th of August. But every time we as the youths of our village can't waited till the INDEPENDENCE DAY so we used to fly before that day but we should do it cautiously so that no unhappy incident to happen as those days there are many HUT made out of the some natural plant called TYNRIEW.
Every night before and during Independence day many types of PHANUR WERE FLYING OF DIFFERENT SIZES with different styles and decorations, I remembered the best one is one decoration as The SYMBOL OF OLYMPIC. And the other is a Man sat on the HORSE❤❤❤❤❤
Love to remember those olden days at my village 💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞.

All Saints' Cathedral

One of the oldest churches of Shillong, All Saints Church was built during the British Raj. The British were fond of the greenery, waterfalls, hills and forests of Shillong and compared it to Scotland. The church originally was built on Kacheri road but was completely damaged in the year 1897 after an earthquake. Later, a new church was constructed in 1902.

Boasting of a colonial-style architecture, this church has a wooden structure. Located opposite to the State Central Library, this church is the perfect place to spend some peaceful moments with your loved ones and seek the Lord’s blessings.
