The Mandakini River is a sacred 72- 81 km long tributary of the Alakananda River in Uttrakhand, India, originating from the Chorabari Glacier near Kedarnath. Flowing through the Garhwal Himalayas, it passes Sri Kedarnath Temple and joins the Alakananda at Rudraprayag, a key (dhama) site for our Hindu pilgrims.
